The first step is an open conversation about what your institution is navigating, what you are trying to achieve, and how we might work together. That conversation shapes everything that follows.
If there is a fit, the work gets scoped from there.
The institutions that reach out to Still House are not failing institutions. They are institutions that care about getting it right, that can see the gap between what they intend and what people experience, and that want support in closing it. That describes institutions across every sector, in every context, at every scale.

Before anything is developed or recommended, time is spent with the people closest to the work. Frontline staff, leadership, coordination teams, and where relevant, the communities the institution serves. What they are navigating, what they already know, and what they think is needed shapes everything that follows.
The form the work takes depends on what is actually needed. It might be a policy review, a framework, practical tools, facilitated sessions with staff and leadership, or longer advisory support. Some engagements run for several weeks. Others run longer.
Still House works with institutions of different sizes and across different sectors. The scope and cost are worked out based on what the institution actually needs.
The work is built with the institution, not delivered to it. It is designed to function in real conditions, under pressure, across teams, and in situations that don't fit neatly into any framework. If something is not working or the context shifts, the work adjusts.
Most engagements include a handover process to make sure what has been developed is embedded and usable. Some institutions stay in touch for ongoing advisory support.
Engagements are conducted with discretion and respect for confidentiality. Where there are legal or ethical obligations to disclose, those are navigated transparently and with care.
Do you work remotely?
Yes, across contexts and time zones. Some engagements include in-person sessions where that adds real value. Most can be delivered fully remotely. Initial conversations happen by video call or phone, whichever works best.
What do you need from our team?
Access to the people closest to the work. That is where the most important conversations happen. The process is designed to work within your existing capacity.
Is this right for our organisation?
If your institution is navigating challenges around gender equality, safeguarding, cross-sector coordination, or translating policy into practice, it is worth a conversation.
How quickly will I hear back?
All enquiries are responded to within two working days.
